ENVIRONMENTAL COMPANY POLICIES

Because of our care and concern for the environment, in the year 2001 we became the first vineyard in Chile to receive the ISO 14001 certification. This is a direct result of clear environmental policies adopted by each and every member of the company:

At Viñedos Emiliana S.A. integrated management and organic viticulture are the fundamental pillars of the Environmental Management System used for every one of the wines we produce and export from the Casablanca, Maipo, and Rapel Valleys.

Viñedos Emiliana honors its earnest commitment to the Environment by:

• Maintaining a dynamic, up-to-date Environmental Management System
• Planning production processes based on pollution-preventing criteria.
• Focusing on the environmental aspects of its activities and providing the tools necessary to monitor and manage them.
• Complying not only with the environmental standards required by law, but with others that the winery has voluntarily assumed to protect the environment.
• Providing the tools needed to encourage, manage, and implement the ongoing improvement of every process employed at Viñedos Emiliana.
• Using working systems based on excellent agricultural and environmental practices, integrated vineyard management, organic principles in its vineyard management and vinification processes, and clean production actions.
• Maintaining respect for flora, fauna, biodiversity, natural resources and human health.
• Employing systems for periodically measuring and continually managing environmental aspects for the efficient application of the environmental management system.
• Planning and systematically evaluating the objectives, goals, and programs related to environmental aspects as well as the elements that allow control over vineyard procedures with the least possible environmental impact in accordance with the feasibility of Viñedos Emiliana.
• Maintaining communications with and methodologies for training those who work at or with Emiliana with respect to environmental issues with our methods of control and in the spirit of this policy.

ISO 14001

Viñedos Emiliana was the first Chilean vineyard that voluntarily adopted the international standards for the care and protection of the environment.

The passion to search for quality must always go hand-in-hand with innovation and visionary capacity. This is what has allowed us to take pride in being pioneers in Chile and in obtaining the ISO 14001 certificate.
